Middle School Math OverviewOur Middle School Math classes use the Maneuvering The Middle (MTM) math curriculum. MTM is a comprehensive and rigorous study of middle school mathematics created by Texas middle school math teachers. It covers all required elements of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). Algebra ClassDr. Nancy A. Roell, Ed. D
I have lived in the St. Pius X Parish since December of 1971 and attended Mass here. I taught here from 1974-79 and then moved onto Northeast ISD for 25 years and then to San Antonio College from the Fall of 2004 until 2021. My six children also attended St. Pius X. Over the years, I have taught both English and Mathematics. I have been involved in the St. Vincent de Paul Ministry, been a member of the Pastoral Council and am currently involved in the new Catholics Returning Home Ministry.
We will be using the Prentice Hall Algebra I textbook and elements from the IXL online program. Homework will vary between these two sources, but will follow the topics from the textbook .

Current Planning is to devote three classroom weeks to each chapter. Given some variation in needed time on task, Chapters I-V will be included on the Comprehensive Test in December.- Variable, Function Patterns and Graphs

Mid-term: Last week in December
Chapter Tests will be assigned as chapter material is completed.
