Spanish I for High School Credit (must take a placement test to be considered):Objective:
Spanish I provides eighth grade students with a comprehensive introduction to the Spanish language, emphasizing communication skills and cultural awareness. This course prepares students for higher levels of Spanish and is a high school credit course.Course Content:- Vocabulary and Grammar:
- Focus on essential vocabulary related to everyday life and common situations.
- Introduction to fundamental grammar concepts, including nouns, verbs, adjectives, and sentence structure.
- Communication Skills:
- Development of speaking and listening skills through dialogues, role-plays, and interactive activities.
- Reading and writing exercises to build comprehension and composition abilities.
- Cultural Understanding:
- Exploration of diverse cultures and traditions within the Spanish-speaking world.
- Use of multimedia resources to enhance cultural learning, including films, music, and literature.
Assessment:
