Course Overview & TEKS Alignment with an emphasis on Catholic identity

• Grade 6
    Focus: Scientific & engineering practices; matter and energy; Earth & space; organisms. Students spend ≥ 40% of time on investigations following safety standards (TEKS 6.1) 
• Grade 7
    Strengthening understanding of matter & energy (e.g., elements vs. compounds, chemical formulas , safe practices in investigations, and introductory genetics & responses in organisms 
• Grade 8
    Emphasis on structure of atoms, conservation of mass, forces/motion, Earth and space systems, ecosystems, and advanced scientific practices—including modeling and data analysis
